'He Sucks,' Yaxel Lendeborg Rips Luka Doncic in Video After Warriors-Lakers, 'Lost All Respect'

Among the many things Luka Dončić has been known for throughout his NBA career is complaining about the officiating during games, something Yaxel Lendeborg experience in his first game as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors 127-105 on Wednesday night.

Lendeborg told reporters afterward he "lost all respect" for Dončić because he was "complaining the entire game" before adding he told the Lakers star "he sucks" at one point when they were on the floor together.

Lendeborg also said there was "a lot of flopping, a lot of foul baiting" throughout the contest.

"Interesting first game for me, for sure," Lendeborg added.

One key source of Lendeborg's frustration was likely a sequence in the second quarter when Dončić pump-faked the Warriors rookie into a foul, then proceeded to chirp at him about it after the two had been playing physical throughout the game.

Asked about the back-and-forth with Lendeborg from his perspective (starts at :51 mark), Dončić said the Warriors forward was "talking crazy" and he "wasn't trying to talk back" because he's "not trying to get techs."

Draymond Green defended Lendeborg after the game when asked about the exchange with Dončić:

Lendeborg, the No. 11 pick in the 2026 draft, was matched up frequently on Dončić since the Warriors are still without Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody due to injuries.

Dončić put up 28 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, but Lendeborg actually did a good job as the primary defender against the six-time All-Star.

Dončić's knack for complaining during games is so notorious that even he has acknowledged at times it probably goes too far. It hasn't actually stopped him from doing it, but why would it when he does get calls.

Since his rookie season in 2018-19, Dončić ranks third among all players with 8.5 free-throw attempts per game.

The bad news for Lendeborg is he tossed this quote out after his first game, giving Dončić plenty of fuel to use the next time the Lakers and Warriors meet.

We won't have to wait long to see what happens. The Warriors will host the Lakers at Chase Center on Oct. 30.
