Knicks' Jalen Brunson Dishes on 'SNL' Experience, Reveals Favorite Skit and More in Video
Performing in front of a live audience in New York City is nothing new for Jalen Brunson, but he was still nervous leading up to the episode of Saturday Night Live he hosted this offseason.
"Fantastic. It was a lot of fun," he said on the Roommates Show (4:56 mark) when asked about the experience.
"I was really nervous leading up to it the entire week. Each day I got less and less nervous and then Saturday I was anxious for it to start. But it was so much fun. The whole week. The whole cast, the staff made everything easy. Lorne Michaels was great, getting to know him."

LeBron: OG Was Real Finals MVP ๐
He also revealed how much work went into it, including spending nearly 12 hours there during the Tuesday before the show. That was just the start, as he was there for nearly 10 hours on Wednesday, another six hours on Thursday and then from 7:15 a.m. to midnight on Friday.
On the Saturday of the show, he was there from 12:30 p.m. until after it ended at 1 a.m.
Brunson praised a number of the skits but said the one where he and the cast spoofed High School Musical was his favorite. That the New York Knicks point guard got to play basketball in the skit surely didn't hurt.
The NBA Finals MVP also said "you'd be surprised at how much gets cut" in real time during the show and was impressed with the cast's ability to roll with it and adjust.
Of course, he is accustomed to adjusting within a time limit as he performs in pressure-packed situations in front of a crowd with the Knicks.ย
And those situations will return on Oct. 20 when he and New York host LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers in the season opener. Madison Square Garden will celebrate last season's championship as the banner is raised to the rafters, and he will surely receive the biggest response from the crowd.
Many of those Knicks fans likely tuned in to watch him on Saturday Night Live as well, which was one of the highlights of his offseason.
