Kawhi Leonard Makes Raptors Preseason Debut After Clippers Exit, Final Box Score Stats & Highlights
Kawhi Leonard's first game back with the Toronto Raptors—after what was a very eventful summer—went off without a hitch.
The star forward led the Raptors to a 148-98 win over the defending-champion New York Knicks in preseason action on Tuesday night, leading all scorers with 21 points.
Here's a look at Leonard's final box score:
| MIN | PTS | FG | REB | AST | STL | BLK |
| 17 | 21 | 6-12 | 5 | 0 | 2 | 0 |
Scottie Barnes and Collin Murray-Boyles each added 19 points apiece for the Raptors, while James Wiseman—who is trying to make New York's final roster—led the Knicks with an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Leonard looked good in the contest, showing his usual array of shot-making (and his penchant for securing some very lucky bounces in Toronto):
It should be noted, of course, that the Knicks didn't play any starters in the contest, so the Raptors were facing a much different version of the Knicks than they'll see during the 2026-27 season. Still, Toronto fans got an exciting first taste of what a core built around Leonard, Barnes, Murray-Boyles and RJ Barrett might be able to accomplish this season.
The Eastern Conference is loaded, no doubt, and playoff berths won't be easy to come by. But this Toronto team, at least on paper, looks like a potential contender.
