AJ Dybantsa, Trae Young's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights from Nets vs. Wizards Preseason
The top pick in the 2026 NBA draft is just over a week away from making his rookie debut, and he's continuing to impress in preseason ahead of his first game.
AJ Dybantsa and the Washington Wizards lost to the Brooklyn Nets, 131-122, in their penultimate preseason game on Monday. Dybantsa had a slow start to the night but got things going late to finish with a solid stat line.
Trae Young, who is eyeing a big first full season with the Wizards, posted a double-double in the loss as the Wizards were without Anthony Davis.
| Player | PTS | REB | AST | TO | STL | BLK |
| AJ Dybantsa | 14 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 1 | 1 |
| Trae Young | 11 | 3 | 11 | 8 | 1 | 0 |
Dybantsa posted 11 points in his preseason debut last week before putting up 14 against the Detroit Pistons. The former BYU star led the nation in scoring last year, but he'll need some time to adjust to NBA defenses before he starts lighting up the box score in the league.
Still, consistently reaching double figures this early in his career is a good sign for a player facing NBA-level talent for the first time.
The Wizards likely won't be contenders this year, but it wouldn't be surprising if they snuck into the playoffs. With veterans Young and Davis and lots of young talent, highlighted by Dybantsa, Washington managed to expedite its rebuild.
The Wizards have their final preseason game on Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans and will tip off the regular season on Oct. 21 against the Milwaukee Bucks.
