New Ben Simmons Rumors Update Former All-Star's Role With Kings in NBA Return

Ben Simmons is apparently making his mark in Sacramento.

After starting the team's third preseason game on Saturday and putting up seven points and an assist in nine minutes, Simmons "is expected to remain in the starting lineup alongside rookie guard Darius Acuff for the Oct. 21 season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers," per Andscape's Marc J. Spears.

Simmons said that it felt good to get back on the court.

"When you're not hungry, you're a little anxious. But you want to feel something," he told Spears. "Feeling [game action] is a different feeling. It's like feeling a bite from a fish. It's just two different feelings. This feeling, you can't replicate. I wasn't nervous. I was like, 'Let's go! Let's go!' It feels like the start of a new era after just being away and coming back, which is really cool and a good feeling to have."

The Kings are also clearly happy to have the 30-year-old aboard, hoping he can rediscover the form that made him a three-time All-Star early in his career.
