76ers' VJ Edgecombe Says Representing Bahamas at Olympics Would Mean More Than NBA Title
Philadelphia 76ers star VJ Edgecombe would take great pride in representing the Bahamas in the Summer Olympics.
On a Twitch stream with teammate Sixers Jaylen Brown, Edgecombe said that would be more significant for him than winning an NBA championship:

Within a basketball context, simply appearing in the Olympics is something American fans and players might take for granted. Qualification is all but guaranteed, and anything short of winning a gold medal is generally considered a massive disappointment for the U.S.
The Bahamas men's basketball team is still waiting to make its Olympic debut.
Leading up to the 2024 Games in Paris, the squad advanced to a qualifying tournament in Valencia, Spain. It beat Finland, Poland and Lebanon before losing to Spain in the final. Edgecombe had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists in an 86-78 loss.
It's safe to assume the second-year wing would love to help bring a title to Philly. But guiding the Bahamas to the Olympics would write Edgecombe into his country's basketball history forever.
If choosing between the two, the latter sounds more meaningful.
