Knicks Pause Contract Talks with KAT, Josh Hart, Deuce McBride to Focus on Prep for NBA Season
The New York Knicks announced Friday that they are pausing all contract negotiations as they prepare for the start of the 2026-27 NBA regular season.
In a statement provided to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Knicks said, "As an organization, our entire focus is on preparing for the upcoming season and delivering another year for our fans to be proud of. As a result, we will not be negotiating contract extensions until later in the season and will remain solely focused on preparing for the start of the season."
Per ESPN's Bobby Marks, the likes of Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, Miles McBride and Tyler Kolek are all extension eligible, and the Knicks have until June 30 to get deals done with them.
