AJ Dybantsa's preseason debut was a promising one.

The top overall pick in the 2026 draft paired with veteran stars Anthony Davis—also making his Washington Wizards' debut—and Trae Young in the starting lineup on Thursday night during a 111-109 win against the defending champion New York Knicks.

Here's how that trio faired:

Trae Young154/70420

Dybantsa looked smooth in his 23 minutes on the court:

Davis, meanwhile, was playing his first basketball since Jan. 8 after appearing in just 20 games last year (and none since he was traded to the Wizards).

Folks in Washington D.C. will be excited after these highlights:

Ditto for what they saw out of Young, who was bombing away from deep as usual:

There's a lot of excitement regarding these Wizards, given the duo of Davis and Young and the exciting young talent (Dybantsa, Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George, Bilal Coulibaly, Tre Johnson, Bub Carrington) surrounding them.

Whether the Wizards can crack the postseason in the very loaded Eastern Conference remains to be seen. But they certainly have the look of a team that could be a lot of fun this season.
