Afterward, Timberwolves superstar guard Anthony Edwards gave rave reviews of his new backcourt mate and offered an accurate comparison of how he plays.

Edwards and Ball played the first 6:43 of the game together, and the Wolves were up 19-12 when Ball subbed out. Edwards also scored 13 points in his 18 minutes, and the Wolves were plus-13 with him on the court.

Ball, who played for the Charlotte Hornets over his first six seasons, joined the Timberwolves via a four-team trade last June. He's averaged 20.1 points and 7.1 rebounds over his career.

Ball joins a Minnesota team looking to finally break through to the NBA Finals after making the 2024 and 2025 Western Conference Finals and the second round of last season's playoffs. He could very well be the missing piece Minnesota needs. At the very least, we know Edwards and him seem to be getting along very well so far.
