Trae Young Admits He's Likely to Be 'Weak Link Defensively' for Wizards After Offseason Additions
Washington Wizards point guard Trae Young admitted to reporters that he might be the "weak link" on the defensive end, although he noted his ability to still give effort alongside the help he'll have behind him (h/t Henry J. Brown of Wizards on SI).
Young has always been known for his offensive repertoire, including deep three-pointers and passing skills. The four-time All-Star has averaged 25.1 points and 9.8 assists per game over his eight seasons.

Wizards Guard Admits Tanking 😨
He hasn't had the best defensive reputation, although the Wizards acquired him via trade from the Atlanta Hawks last season for his offensive skills. Other players, such as Anthony Davis, Alex Sarr and Bilal Coulibaly, could star defensively next season.
Washington struggled en route to a 17-65 season last year, but the table is set for a major improvement if the team enjoys better health this season. The addition of No. 1 overall draft pick AJ Dybantsa should help in a strong starting lineup that includes Young, Davis, Sarr and Kyshawn George.
The Wizards open the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 21 vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.
