Ultra Rare Kobe Bryant Signed Jersey with NBA Finals Patch Could Sell for Millions at Auction
A rare, No. 8 jersey worn by Kobe Bryant during the Los Angeles Lakers' 2004 NBA playoff run has officially hit the auction block.
The Realest announced Wednesday that it is auctioning off the jersey worn by Bryant while going a perfect 8-0 in the 2004 playoffs and 16-1 overall during the 2003-04 NBA season.
Based on photo matching, Bryant wore the jersey in each of the Lakers' series-clinching games against the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves en route to the NBA Finals where they fell to the Detroit Pistons.
Per The Realest, the jersey is the only game-worn, No. 8 Bryant jersey that features the NBA Finals patch to ever come to market.
Autographed by the late Bryant, the jersey was originally auctioned off by the Lakers on Kobe's jersey retirement night on Dec. 8, 2017.
Based on the recent sold prices of game-worn, No. 8 Bryant jerseys, this particular jersey stands to sell for millions of dollars.
One sold for $7 million in 2025, another for $3.69 million in 2021, and a third for $2.73 million in 2022.
According to The Realest, the jersey currently up for bid is "the only documented No. 8 from after Bryant's rookie season to ever be offered publicly."
Bidding on Bryant's 2004 playoff jersey will end on Nov. 8 to commemorate Bryant's jersey number and the anniversary of the first double-digit scoring game of his NBA career.
