Tyrese Maxey Talks LeBron Relationship, Says Seeing Jaylen Brown in 76ers Uniform Is 'Awkward'

Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey is still adjusting to life with LeBron James and Jaylen Brown in Sixers uniforms.

During the team's media day, Maxey detailed how his rapport with James goes back years. The two became regular workout partners in the offseason. Still, it's a little "weird" to now be on the same side as the surefire Hall of Famer:

Players have the flexibility to stage informal practice sessions with their peers during the summer. In terms of the preseason, though, there isn't much time for a reshuffled roster to build familiarity before opening night.

Training camps open Tuesday and the first preseason games get underway on Saturday. On Oct. 20, the Sixers have their first matchup of the regular season.

There's plenty of mutual respect between Maxey, James and Brown, and they've crossed paths on the court before. Still, nothing will prepare them for sharing the court together like the games themselves, so there's bound to be an adjustment period.
