Watch Knicks' Jalen Brunson Star in New 'Saturday Night Live' Promo Ahead of Hosting Debut

New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson is one step closer to making his Saturday Night Live hosting debut.

SNL shared a promo Wednesday featuring Brunson and comedian Ben Marshall in a skit centered around the keys to the city Knicks players received after winning the 2026 NBA championship.

Brunson earned the NBA Finals MVP title after scoring 45 points in the Game 5 win over the San Antonio Spurs that clinched the Knicks' first championship in 53 years.

He is set to become the first active NBA player to host the sketch comedy show since LeBron James played the role for the premiere of its 33rd season in 2007.

Brunson is also the fifth NBA player to ever get the gig, which has previously been filled by Bill Russell, LeBron James, Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan.

The 52nd season of Saturday Night Live is set to kick off Saturday night starting at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock with Brunson as host and KATSEYE as the musical guest.
