Rockets' Amen Thompson Says Uber Eats Was 1st Thing He Bought After Landing $208M Contract

Amen Thompson didn't exactly splurge right away after signing a five-year, $208 million extension with the Houston Rockets in September.

"Probably some Uber Eats," a smiling Thompson admitted after being asked what he bought first following the extension, before he recounted his order. "I get ChopShop. I try to eat kinda healthy. So I get original ChopShop and I get the fruit cup... it's so boring, don't order it."

Original ChopShop is a health-food restaurant with locations in Arizona, Texas and Georgia.

The Rockets will take boring if it means Thompson is eating healthy and taking care of his body. Houston relied heavily on the 23-year-old last season, with Thompson appearing in 79 games and averaging 37.4 minutes per game (second only to Tyrese Maxey). He also set career highs in scoring (18.3 PPG) and assists (5.3 APG) while remaining elite on the defensive end.

So nobody on the Rockets is going to be complaining about those healthy fruit bowls.
