Nike LeBron 13: Additional Pics and Release Date Info
LeBron James will be on a mission to bring a championship ring to title-hungry Cleveland Cavaliers fans this season after coming heartbreakingly close in 2014-15. He will apparently be on that mission with a new set of shoes.
The Nike LeBron 13 is scheduled for release before the season begins, and the critical information can be found below, courtesy of Brendan Dunne of Sole Collector.
| Oct. 10 | Berry | $220 |
| Oct. 24 | Red | $220 |
Pictures of the berry shoe have appeared online in advance of the release date. Sole Collector and Nice Kicks provided a look from two different angles:
Fans can see the berry colors, distinct Nike symbol and foam throughout the shoe.
Sir Lucas Leftfoot of Nikeblog.com also provided a detailed description:
"The Megafuse construction appears to return, albeit in a sleeker, slimmer silhouette and one that relies less heavily on Hyperposite, as the lightweight foam is used much more conservatively through the side.
In a notable departure from the norm of Nike Basketball shoes, the Nike LeBron 13 also utilizes traditional eyelets, entirely doing away with the Flywire variety that’s so commonplace these days. The Hex-Zoom system also makes its return on the outsole, promising an explosive bit of impact protection.
"
Kicks Or Die even gave fans a glimpse of the top of the shoe:
And the bottom:
As the images circulate, they will certainly catch the eyes of basketball fans everywhere. But observers are probably even more interested in what the shoes look like in action. On that front, James himself was spotted wearing what appeared to be the Nike LeBron 13 at the Nike Basketball Academy.
Balt Sneaker Show shared an image of James working on his post moves in kicks that seem to match the Nike LeBron 13:
You may not be able to play like James, but you can at least wear his shoes come October.
The Cavaliers superstar boasted the top-selling footwear in the NBA last season. And he discussed what that meant, per Joe Vardon of the Northeast Ohio Media Group:
"For me, my main thing is about playing basketball. Obviously I love my partnership with Nike. We've done so many great things, but it starts with performance, and all of us at Nike, we perform first and we let everything take care of itself.
For me to be able to have those numbers just means that fans still love what I do on the floor. They appreciate how I approach the game, and everything else benefits from that.
"
As James continues to dominate on the court, he keeps winning off it. The release of the Nike LeBron 13 is just the latest proof.
