CeeDee Lamb Drops Confident Quote on Cowboys Expectations for 2026 NFL Season

Several members of the Dallas Cowboys have expressed high expectations for the 2026 campaign, and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb joined his teammates on Thursday.

Lamb said he wants the team "to proclaim dominance" this year.

"I want us to proclaim dominance. I want us to be who we think we are, and overall, only so many words can be said," Lamb told reporters. "And I'm very — I want to put it into action."

Perhaps nobody on the Cowboys has been more confident about winning it all than quarterback Dak Prescott.

"I'm not going to shy away from [Super Bowl talk]," he told reporters at the start of training camp. "Why not now?"

Prescott said he's been manifesting a Super Bowl, setting alarms on his phone labeled "Super Bowl 61." While every team is confident they can win it all, it's a bit taboo to openly discuss taking home a championship the way Prescott has. He has no problem with what outsiders say.

"Why are we hesitant to say that that's what we're playing for?" Prescott said, per Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer in August. "I don't know if it's just getting older, having kids and blatantly not giving a f--k what other people think, but if that's what this is about, then why is anybody being hesitant about it? And why is it, honestly, such a big deal even saying it? So my point is, let's put it out there. Like, I'm a big manifester. I wouldn't be here in my life if I didn't think I would be here, going back to being a little kid."

Prescott also told Yahoo Sports' Jori Epstein last month that he's "as urgent as I've ever felt" to win a Super Bowl.

The Cowboys are in a long Super Bowl drought, having not reached the NFC Championship Game since they won it all in 1995. But it's easy to see why Prescott and others are so confident heading into the season.

Dallas had one of the best offenses in the league last year with Prescott, Lamb and George Pickens thriving together, and that won't be any different this year. The Cowboys also bolstered their defense this offseason after that unit posted rough numbers in 2025.

Dallas has plenty of competition to even reach the Super Bowl, but its roster is more than capable of making a run.
