Cowboys' Dak Prescott Says He Has Phone Alarms Labeled 'Super Bowl 61' Ahead of 2026 NFL Season

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is laser-focused on making his first-ever Super Bowl, to the point where he labeled his phone alarms "Super Bowl 61," he told Kay Adams.

"Yeah, I mean a lot of things, just personally" Prescott said when asked how he's manifesting his Super Bowl goal. "Just the words. Seeing it, putting it up. Whether it's the alarm clocks or just different times for myself. It's not only me. We break down the huddle, and to hear guys like Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark, Rashan Gary, to hear them even speak about it, to hear them break down the team and use those words, just lets you know that I'm not just trying to manifest it myself."

The Cowboys have endured a rough two-year stretch, winning just seven games apiece in the 2024 and 2025 seasons and missing the playoffs each time.

However, there's reason for optimism this season.

For starters, the defense looks much improved on paper after allowing the most points per game in the league. Of note, Dallas added a pair of first-round picks in safety Caleb Downs and edge-rusher Malachi Lawrence, and added some new veterans like Gary and safety Jalen Thompson. The Cowboys will also get a full season of lineman Quinnen Williams after they acquired him from the New York Jets last November.

They'll be led by new defensive coordinator Christian Parker, who found great success as the Philadelphia Eagles' defensive passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach each of the past two seasons.

The offense looks potent, especially after adding wide receiver George Pickens via trade during the 2025 offseason. Pickens broke out with 93 catches for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns last season, forming a dynamic duo with CeeDee Lamb.

Prescott, of course, is the most valuable Cowboy. The four-time Pro Bowler has found regular season success over his 10 years, leading Dallas to the playoffs five times and going 83-55-1 in his starts. Postseason success has eluded the Cowboys, though, as Dallas has gone just 2-5 since 2016.

This year can certainly represent a change, however. We'll see what happens starting Sunday, Sept. 13, when Dallas visits the New York Giants to open the season.
