Nike Air Jordan 9 Retro 'Statue' Release Date, Pics and Retail Price
The Nike Air Jordan 9 Retro "Statue" drops Saturday at a key point in the summer for the sneaker game.
This take on a classic goes head-to-head with various regional releases of new Yeezy, LeBron 12 and Kyrie 1 shoes and does so with style as a shoe honoring "The Spirit" statue in front of the United Center in Chicago, which honors one Michael Jordan.
Here's a look at the release details, per Sole Collector:
Foot Locker provided a look at the fresh design:

Basket Revolution provided a slick look at the shoe out in the wild:
Closer inspection reveals why the globe wants to get its hands on this fresh release.
VILLA on Instagram took a top-down approach to reveal the smooth inside with the "30" logo and a Jumpman:
SneakerFiles.com zoomed in on the back, showcasing the logo on the bottom, the 23 and the coppertone logo at the bottom of the back pull tab:
The right inspiration goes a long way with a new shoe release these days. This one hits on all of the right nostalgia vibes with a proper approach of not going overboard like some modern releases.
More important than inspiration, though, is plain old eye-catching design. This fresh take on a classic has it in droves, so don't expect it to last long on store shelves.
