NBA's Suns, WNBA's Mercury Unveil Rendering of Massive New LED Video Board on Outside of Arena
The Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury made a new addition to the Mortgage Matchup Center that will provide a unique experience for basketball fans.
Mat Ishbia, who owns both franchises, announced on Tuesday that an immersive LED display will be coming to the exterior of the arena this fall. The 9,266-square-foot screen will span the entirety of the arena's plaza entrance as a new visual centerpiece.

Nets Governor: Knicks Title 'Embarrassing'

Lakers sale takes dramatic turn
"We want everyone who visits Mortgage Matchup Center to have a memorable experience, and that starts the moment they arrive," Ishbia said in a release. "We're creating a place where fans can come together for the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and our new LED display gives us a powerful new platform to celebrate the Suns and Mercury, connect with our community and engage with our fans."
The release stated that the LED display will allow fans "to gather for outdoor watch parties, relive highlights and clips, and see Suns, Mercury and entertainment content unfold across the entire façade of the entrance. From game day to concerts and special events, the display will make the exterior of Mortgage Matchup Center a year-round destination for fans to gather, connect and experience the biggest moments together."
Ishbia seems to have been inspired after seeing the success of the watch parties outside of Madison Square Garden during the New York Knicks' title run, and more teams should follow suit in expanding the game-day experience for fans.
