SGA, Wemby, Jokic, Luka Headline New NBA 2K27 Player Ratings for Top 100 Rankings

Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander overtook the Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokić for the title of No. 1 player in NBA 2K27 at launch.

Gilgeous-Alexander and Jokić do, however, share the same overall rating (97 overall) along with Victor Wembanyama. The San Antonio Spurs big man is listed as No. 2 behind SGA.

2K revealed the 10 best players in the game Monday ahead of its Sept. 4 release date:

3. Nikola Jokić, Denver Nuggets (97 overall)
4. Luka Dončić, Los Angeles Lakers (96 overall)

6. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Miami Heat (96 overall)
7. Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves (95 overall)
8. Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons (94 overall)
9. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors (93 overall)
10. Kevin Durant, Houston Rockets (93 overall)

Los Angeles Lakers center Walker Kessler kicked off the list at No. 100, and we've finally reached the end.

Giving Gilgeous-Alexander, Wembanyama and Jokić all the same overall rating is the safe call.

Gilgeous-Alexander won his second straight MVP after averaging 31.1 points and 6.6 assists during the regular season. He helped the Thunder finish with the NBA's best record (64-18).

Jokić delivered more of the same as he averaged a triple-double, pouring in 27.7 points per game while leading the league in rebounds (12.9) and assists (10.7). SGA was the overwhelming MVP pick, but the Nuggets big played just as well and perhaps even better than in the three years he took home the trophy.

For Wembanyama, everything came together in 2025-26. He avoided the injury problems that limited him to 46 games a year prior. He filled out the stat sheet (25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.1 blocks). And the Spurs reached their first NBA Finals since 2014.

Some argued San Antonio's victory over the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals signaled a broad power shift. If that's the case, then Wembanyama could eventually have the No. 1 spot all to himself as 2K's developers update the player ratings over the course of the upcoming campaign.
