Owner of Ultra Rare Cooper Flagg Card Speaks Out amid $1M+ Bounties After Live Stream Video

The collector who snared a 1-of-1 Cooper Flagg card has come forward.

Jason Williams, a native of South Carolina, told ESPN he bought a spot on the RhodyBreakers stream when one of the streamers revealed the redemption card for the Dallas Mavericks star's Rookie Debut Patch autograph insert.

"Who would have thought?" Williams said. "It still hasn't really sunk in. I know what I got, but I dunno, it's surreal."

He added that the card is "in a safe place," and he's "just sort of trying to lay low."

Williams spent $515 to have RhodyBreakers open the 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update box.

The Mavs already made one concrete offer for the Flagg insert, which includes season tickets for 32 years and an autographed game-worn jersey from Flagg:

A seven-figure payday likely awaits Williams if he simply wants to cash out instead. A similar card for Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes fetched $1.1 million in a 2025 auction.

The Athletic's Benjamin Burrows wrote that "bounties" between $1.5 million and $4 million have surfaced, though the veracity of the supposed offers is unknown.
