LeBron James Creates YouTube Channel, 1st Video is Golf Scramble from 2016 Cavs Title Team's Reunion

While still primarily focused on preparing for his 24th NBA season, LeBron James is continuing to add to his off-court profile by getting more into the content game with an official YouTube channel.

James' first official video on the channel is the three-on-three golf scramble recorded from the 10th anniversary celebration of the 2015-16 Cleveland Cavaliers NBA championship team.

The description on the page specifies it is a "LeBron James golf YouTube channel!" It will feature videos of him bringing "his friends and fans along for the journey as golf takes him to some of the world's greatest courses."

James announced last summer that he had taken up golf, prompting a response from longtime friend/rival and fellow links aficionado Stephen Curry.

James recently said in an interview with Rich Kleiman on Boardroom Talks that he hopes to use his profile to help open the sport of golf up to new audiences:

"One of my main goals in not only of playing the game of golf with my friends and we have a great time, we go out there and mess around, but I want to be able to, and my goal is to open doors for kids that look like me growing up in the inner city, to be able to go to country clubs at seven, eight, nine years old and be able to go out and caddy or be able to go out and rent clubs and be able to be coached and play the game of golf."

It's fitting James would make the Cavs' 10th anniversary trip his first YouTube video given how much attention it garnered as it was going on.

James, Kevin Love, J.R. Smith, Richard Jefferson, Tristan Thompson and Channing Frye all took part in the celebration that saw them venture to the United Kingdom where they drank wine and played golf at Loch Lomond Golf Club in Scotland.

The 2015-16 Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 series deficit in the Finals to win a championship, defeating Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

James is preparing for his 24th NBA season after signing with the Philadelphia 76ers. His first game as a member of the Sixers will be against the defending NBA champion New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 20.
