Rudy Gobert Reportedly Paid for T-Wolves' Trip to Paris During 2026 NBA Offseason

Rudy Gobert reportedly bankrolled part of the Minnesota Timberwolves' recent trip to his home nation of France.

The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski reported Friday that Gobert "covered the whole team's expenses in Paris."

Gobert was also responsible for organizing workouts and team-building activities in Paris, according to Krawczynski.

Krawczynski previously reported Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball offered to pay for the team's flights to Paris.

Gobert has been sharing looks into his team's trip to Paris in a series of posts on social media.

Krawczynski previously reported in July that Edwards and Ball led the discussion about traveling to France to work out with Gobert.

According to Krawczynski, Gobert was interested in welcoming the team to Paris in part because he wanted to begin early work on building a connection with Ball.

The Timberwolves underwent a roster overhaul after last season's elimination from the second round by parting ways with Mike Conley and Julius Randle and bringing in Ball.

The Wolves could now hope that providing extra time for Ball and Gobert to establish chemistry will help this team make a deeper run in 2027.
