Patrick Beverley Makes Decision on Basketball Future amid NBA Comeback Speculation

Patrick Beverley is continuing his international basketball career amid speculation he could be considering a return to the NBA.

Beverley has signed with the French club Boulazac Basket Dordogne, the team announced Friday.

Beverley spent the last two seasons playing in Israel and Greece. He will now head to France to join the LNB Élite.

Beverley started out his pro career playing in Ukraine, Greece and Russia before making his NBA debut with the Houston Rockets during the 2012-13 season.

He went on to compete in 12 NBA seasons with seven teams including Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls.

Beverley finished out his NBA career by splitting the 2023-24 campaign between the Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks.

He was assessed a four-game suspension at the end of that season, which he never served in the NBA.

Beverley left North America having averaged 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals across 666 regular-season games in the NBA.

He spent the 2024-25 season with Hapoel Tel Aviv of the Israeli Premier League and EuroLeague, then joined PAOK BC last season for Greek Basketball League and EuroCup competition.

Beverley most recently played 22.4 minutes per game while averaging 7.8 points, five rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.3 steals in the Greek Basketball League's regular season.

He also averaged 9.3 points, four rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.2 steals through nine EuroCup games as PAOK BC reached the final.

Boulazac, which does not compete in EuroCup or EuroLeague play, was promoted to the top tier of French basketball last season. The club went 12-18 and ranked 12th during its first season in the 16-team LNB Élite.

Beverley is not the first former NBA player to lend his services to the club. Former NBAer Tony Snell starred for the team last season before signing with the LNB Pro A's Cholet Basket this offseason.
