LeBron James, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid Headline New NBA 2K27 Player Ratings for Top 11-100 Rankings

Philadelphia 76ers teammates Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey started out their first season together by earning top-20 NBA 2K27 rankings.

Brown, James, Embiid and Maxey were among the players ranked between No. 20 and No. 11 ahead of the game's upcoming release, 2K announced on Friday.

NBA 2K27 has spent the last week counting down the game's Top 100 players.

NBA 2K27 is set to release on Sept. 4, 2026.

Embiid, Brown and James each earned 91 overall ratings, while Maxey led his team with a 92 OVR.

That marks a significant jump for Maxey, who was graded out an 86 OVR ahead of the release of NBA 2K26 before averaging a career-high 28.3 points per game last season.

It marks a lesser increase for Brown, who earned a 90 overall rating last August and also averaged a career high in his last season with the Boston Celtics.

Tyrese Haliburton saw his rating drop by three points after earning a 93 OVR ahead of NBA 2K26.

The Indiana Pacers guard is preparing to make his return this fall after missing the entirety of the 2025-26 season while rehabbing his surgically repaired Achilles tendon.

Jayson Tatum, who made his own return from an Achilles injury last March, dropped his rating by one point ahead of his first full season with the Boston Celtics since the injury.

Karl-Anthony Towns saw his rating climb by one point over his 2K26 stat line after helping lead the New York Knicks to the 2026 NBA title.

The last part of the 2K27 countdown will reveal players with top-10 ratings in the latest edition of the games.

Players who have yet to see their names included in the countdown include the San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama, Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokić, Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Knicks' Jalen Brunson, Minnesota Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards and Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry.
