Shai Gilgeous-Alexander seldom posts on X (formerly Twitter), but he returned to the platform on Thursday to give a shoutout to an NBA icon.

After Russell Westbrook announced his retirement on Wednesday, Gilgeous-Alexander made his first post in five years to congratulate the Oklahoma City Thunder icon on a tremendous career.

Westbrook and Gilgeous-Alexander never played together in Oklahoma City, but both are franchise legends. With Westbrook now retired, his next destination is the Hall of Fame, and his jersey very well could be hung up in the rafters at the Paycom Center.
