Knicks vs. 76ers, Lakers vs. Warriors Announced for Prime's NBA Cup Schedule Ahead of Full Release

After revealing the opening slate of Prime Video games for the 2026-27 NBA season on Tuesday, the NBA announced several more Prime Video matchups on Wednesday.

In a post on the NBA on Prime's X account, it was revealed that the Philadelphia 76ers will host the New York Knicks, and the Golden State Warriors will host the Los Angeles Lakers in NBA Cup group play games on Oct. 30, which will stream on Prime Video:

NBA on Prime also announced a doubleheader for Black Friday on Nov. 27 with the Knicks hosting the Miami Heat at 7 p.m. ET and the San Antonio Spurs hosting the Lakers at 9:30 p.m. ET:

Prime Video will also stream a pair of international games this coming season. The Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans will meet on Jan. 14 in Paris and Jan. 17 in Manchester, England, with the contests airing at 2 p.m. ET and 10:30 a.m. ET, respectively:

When the Knicks and Sixers clash on Oct. 30, it will mark their second meeting in the first 10 days of the 2026-27 regular season.

It was previously announced Tuesday that on opening night of the campaign on Oct. 20, the Knicks will play host to the 76ers. That game will be preceded by the Knicks raising their first NBA championship banner since 1973.

While the Knicks are entering the season as the team to beat in the Eastern Conference after going 16-3 in the playoffs en route to a championship, the Sixers could be their most sizable competition.

Philly acquired Jaylen Brown in a trade with the Boston Celtics and signed LeBron James in free agency this offseason, adding them to an already strong core of Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and VJ Edgecombe.

The Warriors vs. Lakers game is also a rematch of an early-season meeting, as Golden State and L.A. are first scheduled to face off on Oct. 21, which is the second day of the campaign.

With LeBron leaving the Lakers to sign with the 76ers, they are now Luka Dončić's team, and a battle with the veteran-laden Warriors led by Stephen Curry should be a solid test for the new-look Lake Show.

The Prime Video slate on Black Friday also features a pair of star-studded matchups, both of which could be potential playoff previews.

In the first game, the Knicks will be tested by the reshaped Heat, who sent a bounty of players and draft picks to the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason to acquire two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is forming a formidable frontcourt with Bam Adebayo.

The second game will see reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs welcome in Dončić and the Lakers in a contest between two of the NBA's best players and two of the Western Conference's top teams.

On Thursday at 3 p.m. ET, the NBA will unveil the entirety of every team's schedule for the 2026-27 season.
