AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer Top NBA 2K27's Rookie Ratings in New Video Game
In an unsurprising development, the top-five picks of the 2026 NBA draft are also the highest-rated rookies in NBA 2K27.
The video game released its top 10 rookies on Monday, and the list was headlined by No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa, No. 2 pick Darryn Peterson and No. 3 pick Cameron Boozer each checking in at a 79 overall:
Caleb Wilson, who was the No. 4 overall pick, isn't far behind at 77 overall, while No. 5 pick Keaton Wagler is fifth at 75 overall.
There is no shortage of hype surrounding this rookie class, which means the more interesting development will be what everyone is ranked by this time next year. That will provide an answer for how each of them played in their rookie campaigns.
If Dybantsa thrives with the Washington Wizards while taking advantage of the openings created by the attention Anthony Davis and Trae Young draw, he will likely take home the Rookie of the Year and see his ranking in next year's game elevate well over 80 overall.
If Peterson takes over as a scorer for the rebuilding Utah Jazz and pours in 20-plus points a night, perhaps he will be the Rookie of the Year and the highest-ranked second-year player in NBA 2K28.
For now, though, all the teams with this highly regarded rookie class have nothing but optimism about what is to come.
And whatever does come will surely lead to a shake up in their 2K rankings.
