Knicks' New Group Chat Name Revealed By Deuce McBride After Winning 2026 NBA Title

New York Knicks guard Deuce McBride revealed that the team's group chat has been renamed "Champs" after the team won the franchise's first NBA title since 1973.

"The group chat's been going crazy," McBride revealed to Skyler Caruso of People Magazine during an interview at Fanatics Fest's 40/40 red carpet last month and relayed to readers on Friday.

"Everybody's celebrating in so many great different ways with their families, with their loved ones and it's just been a lot of celebration texts going back and forth."

People Magazine then asked what the group chat was called, and McBride gave his response: "What do you think? 'Champs,' baby! Champs."

McBride has played all five of his NBA seasons with the Knicks, making him the longest-tenured member of the team after center Mitchell Robinson left in free agency for the Boston Celtics. He averaged 12.0 points per game last season, hitting 42.3 percent of his three-pointers along the way.

McBride's best playoff moment occurred in the closeout Game 4 of the Knicks' second round series win against the Philadelphia 76ers, when he scored 25 points and hit 7-of-9 three-pointers in a 144-114 win.

Now the former West Virginia star returns in hopes of helping the Knicks win back-to-back titles.
