Then, the New York Knicks big man pulled quite the card featuring the San Antonio Spurs star.

Towns just so happened to pull a rare 2025-26 Chrome Update autographed Wembanyama card during a live broadcast. He reacted to the situation as well on social media:

There is a certain level of irony to the entire situation, as Towns' Knicks just faced Wembanyama's Spurs in a memorable NBA Finals. While New York won rather quickly in five games, it had to come back in each of its victories.

One of those comebacks was a 29-point one during Game 4, while another came in the closeout contest in Game 5.

Jalen Brunson took home the NBA Finals MVP, while Towns was an important secondary contributor who averaged a double-double of 13.0 points and 10.6 rebounds per game throughout the series.
