San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama signed a long-term contract extension with Nike on Friday, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

Per Charania, Wembanyama's deal includes a new signature shoe line.

It's been a busy offseason for the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, as he previously agreed to a five-year extension worth $252 million with the Spurs on July 10.

Nike released a statement following the extension agreement on Friday.

"We are proud to continue supporting Victor Wembanyama's journey with Nike," the company said, viaย Jared Weissย ofย The Athletic. "As one of the most unique and influential athletes in the world, Victor is a generational talent who continues to inspire the game's next generation. We are excited about all that we've built together and look forward to more wins ahead."

Wembanyama has been signed with Nike since 2022, although his original deal was set to expire in October (h/t ESPN'sย Michael C. Wright).

The 22-year-old only has three seasons in the NBA under his belt, but he's already established himself as one of the top players in the association.

Wembanyama wrapped up a 2025-26 season in which he averaged 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.1 blocks per game. He shot 51.2 percent from the field and 34.9 percent from three-point territory.

The Spurs owned a plus-17.0 net rating with Wembanyama on the floor last season, which dropped to a plus-0.6 net rating with him off the court (viaย NBA.com).

He helped lead San Antonio to a 62-20 record, advancing to the NBA Finals after taking down the Oklahoma City Thunder in seven games during the Western Conference Finals.

While the Spurs ultimately fell short of a championship after losing to the New York Knicks in five games, the future of the organization is still bright with Wembanyama leading the way.
