Mikal Bridges Talks Viral IG Live Video After Knicks' NBA Title, I'll Be 'As Real as I Can'
Mikal Bridges went live on Instagram back in June in the aftermath of the New York Knicks winning the NBA title, which included some hilarious (and inebriated) candor from the forward and eventually led to Jalen Brunson texting him to end the stream.
But Bridges regrets nothing.
"I know I'm lit in the moment, but I'm very conscious of what I'm doing," he said on 7PM in Brooklyn, a Wave Original (22:30 mark). "Obviously everything is very in the moment of like just talking, I'm drunk and whatever's on my mind I'm just talking. But I'm very conscious. I'm not dumb. I'm not going to say anything that's super out of pocket. I'm going to be as real as I can."
Everybody in New York City at the time—or at least all of the Knicks fans—were lit too, so nobody in the Big Apple is going to give him too much guff about a livestream that perhaps veered slightly off the tracks.
Bridges and his teammates are NYC legends for life. For many Knicks fans, moments like Bridges' livestream only adds to the legend.
