New York Knicks forward Karl-Anthony Towns said he's only worried about himself and his team when asked if any squads in the Eastern Conference concerned him after Jaylen Brown was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers and Giannis Antetokounmpo was sent to the Miami Heat.

"The Knicks. That's all I need to worry about," he said on The Interview podcast (33:18 mark). "... Like I said, control the controllables. If I were worried about all the uncontrollables in my life and professionally, I'd be lost in the sauce."

He did note that losing veteran center Mitchell Robinson to the Boston Celtics in free agency was a "tough one." And it should be noted that the podcast taped before LeBron James signed with the Sixers, though perhaps Towns would maintain that his primary concern remains with the defending champions.

But there are undoubtedly some new challengers emerging in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks will have to run a gauntlet to protect their crown.
