Haliburton is looking to put together a strong comeback season, and it seems he's gained his explosiveness back. The Pacers will need the best version of Haliburton as they try to compete in a loaded Eastern Conference.
Haliburton faced a setback in his rehab when he was diagnosed with shingles, which in turn made him gain weight because of the medicine he was taking. Luckily, he's had a handful of positive updates lately.
Earlier this week, he posted a YouTube video documenting some of his recovery.
"This is my one year. Man, I'm feeling so good. I'm playing five-on-five, doing our workouts every day. I can pretty much say I'm back at this point," Haliburton said. "I feel like I'm back in shape, but there's a difference between like being in shape and being in Tyrese Haliburton shape.
"I feel like they're two different things. I like to play fast, so I know I got to get back to there, which will take some time."
When Haliburton last played, he was at the pinnacle of his career, taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game of the NBA Finals. Having to miss a year was not the setback he expected, but he'll nonetheless look to return to form this season.
