LeBron James Billboards Revealed in Photo From Philadelphia After NBA Star Signs 76ers Contract
It didn't take Philadelphia long to welcome its new star to town.
Hours after LeBron James announced his decision to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers, billboards welcoming him to the City of Brotherly Love popped up. According to NBC Sports' John Clark, the billboards were donated by Drew Katz, the CEO of Interstate Outdoor Advertising.
After a lengthy free agency period, James agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal with the 76ers, pairing him alongside Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe.
In a statement on social media, James said it will be his "last decision," and he chose Philadelphia because he feels the Sixers are best equipped to win a title.
Obviously, James has little left to prove at this point, but a fifth championship would add to his Hall of Fame resume.
Barring any drastic changes around the league, it's hard to imagine a healthy 76ers team won't at least be in the mix to win it all.
