LeBron James' 76ers Jerseys Revealed By Fanatics in Photo After Contract in NBA Free Agency

LeBron James is bringing No. 23 with him to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Fanatics released a first look at James' Sixers jersey following the news the NBA's all-time leading scorer is heading to Philadelphia.

James is joining the Sixers on a two-year, $8 million contract with a player option, his agent Rich Paul told ESPN's Shams Charania.

James has alternated between No. 23 and No. 6 for the majority of his professional career, although he has also worn No. 9 while representing Team USA.

Michael Jordan wore No. 23 in the NBA and No. 9 in international competition, and James has previously referred to Nos. 23 and 6 as his "two numbers."

The NBA's all-time leading scorer first started wearing No. 23 while playing high school basketball at St. Vincent-St. Mary.

James began his NBA career in 2003 wearing No. 23 for the Cleveland Cavaliers, then switched to No. 6 when joining the Miami Heat in 2010.

He switched back to No. 23 when rejoining the Cavs in 2014 and kept the number when first joining the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018.

James went back to No. 6 for his 2021-22 season with the Lakers, then took No. 23 back ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

It looks like James will once more be sticking with Michael Jordan's iconic number when he joins his fourth NBA team this offseason.

No. 23 has been worn by 34 players in Philadelphia, most recently by Tyrese Martin late in the 2025-26 season.

James will now Tyrese Maxey, who has spent his six-year 76ers career wearing No. 0, and Joel Embiid, who has worn No. 21 for the majority of his decade in Philadelphia, in looking to lead the Sixers to a title next spring.
