Joel Embiid's LeBron James Post From 2016 Highlighted by Fans After 76ers Contract in NBA FA

Joel Embiid missed out on playing with LeBron James more than a decade ago, but he'll now get to team up with the all-time great.

After James agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, Embiid's post from 2016 resurfaced.

James left the Miami Heat in 2014 to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Philadelphia missed out on the most coveted free agent at the time, and perhaps ever.

James also considered joining Philadelphia when he left the Cavs in 2018, according to Dan Woike of The Athletic, but he decided to join the Los Angeles Lakers.

While the 76ers aren't getting a prime version of James, the legend has ultimately found his way to Philly, and the team should have enough to make a Finals run.
