Davante Adams, Fred Warner Named to NFL Top 100, Check Out the Updated 2026 Rankings

Even after an injury-ravaged season, San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner claimed a spot in the NFL Top 100.

Warner is the No. 54 overall player for 2026. His fall from 16th last year isn't unexpected after he appeared in just six games. He's the second 49ers player to get onto the list after teammate Brock Purdy.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams was next in 53rd, though he also lost some ground following a somewhat down year volume-wise by his usual standards.

Warner suffered a dislocated ankle in Week 6. He was likely on his way toward earning a fourth straight Pro Bowl nod, having compiled 51 tackles, two forced fumbles and three pass breakups to that point.

The 29-year-old remained the overwhelming pick for the best off-ball linebacker in the annual poll from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Fowler wrote "around" 70 percent of the respondents had him in the top spot.

One coordinator said Warner "diagnoses faster than anyone."

"That's really his secret sauce," the coach said. "Processes the game at an incredibly fast level."

Maybe Warner's ankle injury will have some lingering effects on his game moving forward. That may not mean much in terms of his performance since so much of his effectiveness comes from the mental side.

Assuming he stays healthy, the four-time All-Pro should remind everyone he remains one of the league's best defensive players.

Adams' 56.4 receiving yards per game were his fewest since 2015, though he did lead the NFL in touchdown receptions (14). The next closest players had 11.

Nobody was expecting the six-time Pro Bowler to be the No. 1 option, either, as long as Puka Nacua remained healthy. Nacua finished first in catches (129) and second in yards (1,715).

Adams understood the role he'd occupy within the Rams offense. During the team's free agency pitch, Rams coach Sean McVay laid out in great detail how he'd be showcased.

The 33-year-old's effectiveness inside the red zone was an example of how the coaching staff put those ideas into practice.

In terms of team success, signing with the Rams also served its purpose. Adams will have savored getting his first playoff win since the 2020 campaign.

The decorated pass-catcher may not be the aerial threat he once was, but he continues to make a positive impact.
