Jalen Hurts, CeeDee Lamb Named to NFL Top 100, Check Out the Updated 2026 Rankings

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts earned a spot on the NFL Top 100 list for the fourth straight season, but his peers are beginning to grow a bit skeptical.

Hurts sits 56th in the ranking after being 19th heading into the 2025 season:

The skepticism around Hurts is beginning to reach a fever pitch again, less than two full years after he and the Eagles lifted a Super Bowl title.

The three-time Pro Bowler threw for 3,224 yards and 25 touchdowns in 16 starts. His 7.1 yards per attempt were a career low, and he had his worst QBR (55.2) since 2021.

Across the campaign, Philly receiver A.J. Brown cut an increasingly frustrated figure, culminating in his trade to the New England Patriots this offseason. A lot of fans came to feel the same way as Hurts was perceived as avoiding tougher throws and downfield risks.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler called 2026 a "crucial year" for Hurts. He's signed for two more seasons, but one AFC executive suggested to Fowler a separation next offseason is plausible if he fails to evolve as a passer.

"Polarizing player, and as his running ability starts to decline, his value will decline, too," the exec said. "And [Eagles general manager Howie Roseman] will always be proactive with finding solutions."

Hurts showed in 2024 he can be the starting QB on a Super Bowl winner, but that Eagles squad had a 2,000-yard rusher on top of an elite defense. You can't replicate that formula year to year.

The Philly signal-caller debuted in the Top 100 at No. 3 in 2023. Since then, he has slipped to 15th, 19th and now into the 50s. It's a good microcosm for the direction in which his reputation is going.

For Lamb, the 2023 season is increasingly looking like an outlier. He led the league in catches (135) and was a close second in yards (1,749). He averaged 102.9 yards per game that year.

In none of his other five seasons did Lamb crack 80 yards per contest.

His 2025 output was in line with that. He hauled in 75 passes for 1,077 yards and three touchdowns in 14 appearances.

The five-time Pro Bowler got eclipsed by George Pickens, who was the team leader in the three major receiving categories. One Top 100 subplot to follow is whether Pickens leapfrogs Lamb on the list.

Lamb continues to be a consistent target and top-10 wideout. The Cowboys may face some difficult choices, however, if they have one receiver who counts for $46.1 million against the cap in 2027 and another who builds on his breakout to remain a No. 1-caliber option ahead of free agency.
