He also predicted that Suns guard Jalen Green would head to Cleveland, presumably as part of a sign-and-trade agreement to land Harden since Green is still under contract with Phoenix.
Although Morris was never teammates with Harden, he won a championship while playing alongside James on the Lakers in 2020.
The four-time MVP is still a free agent with the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and Cavaliers among the teams reportedly pursuing him.
It's worth noting that Golden State is pessimistic about the team's chances of signing James, according to ESPN's Anthony Slater.
Meanwhile, Harden also remains a free agent after declining his $42.3 million player option for the 2026-27 season.
Joe Vardon of The Athletic reported that Harden is waiting to sign another deal with the Cavs in order to give them more financial flexibility to add a player such as James.
Morris believes that the 11-time All-Star will end up in Phoenix while James chooses to return to Cleveland, though.
