Damian Lillard Calls Out Fan for Diss About Giannis-Davion Video, 'Play w Somebody Else'

Damian Lillard doesn't want to hear any online jokes about his work ethic or relationship with former teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo.

After a fan responded to a video showing Antetokounmpo working out with Davion Mitchell with a "joke" that invoked Lillard's name, the nine-time All-Star called out the person by telling them to "play w somebody else."

The original post saw the fan write that Mitchell was "doing what Dame wouldn't even do" when he played alongside Antetokounmpo, leading to Lillard strongly responding "mfs don't want Dame to tell it."

Antetokounmpo is preparing for his first season with the Miami Heat after being acquired in an offseason trade with the Milwaukee Bucks. Mitchell is penciled in as the starting point guard for Miami right now.

Lillard and Antetokounmpo spent two seasons together as teammates with the Bucks. Even though their tenure produced 97 regular-season wins from 2023 to '25, they were unable to win a playoff series during that time.

The Bucks waived Lillard, who tore his Achilles on April 27, 2025, in Game 4 of a playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, with $113 million remaining on his contract using the stretch provision in July 2025.

Lillard opted to return to the Portland Trail Blazers on a three-year deal as a free agent that same month. He didn't play during the 2025-26 season while rehabbing his Achilles injury.

Milwaukee finished 32-50 last season and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2015-16.
