NBA 2K27 Reveals Wemby, Caitlin Clark, Derrick Rose Covers and Release Date for New Video Game

The release of NBA 2K27 will feature three different cover athletes depending on which version gamers purchase.

2K announced on Wednesday that Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark and Derrick Rose will be on the cover of its upcoming NBA game that will be available on Sept. 4.

Wembanyama will grace the cover of the standard edition. He is the first San Antonio Spurs player to be on the cover of an NBA 2K release. The 22-year-old received the honor coming off a season in which he became the first unanimous winner of the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Clark is on the cover of the deluxe edition. The Indiana Fever star will become the first WNBA player featured on the NBA 2K premium cover. Rose will be featured on the ultra edition that will only be available for a limited time.

Angel Reese, A'ja Wilson, Sabrina Ionescu, Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi and Candace Parker are previous WNBA stars who have been featured on special edition or alternate covers of the game.

Rose is making his second appearance on the cover of an NBA 2K game. He previously shared the cover of NBA 2K13 with Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin released in 2012.

All three versions of NBA 2K27 are available for pre-order now. It will be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Gamers who pre-order the deluxe or ultra edition for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC will have early access starting Aug. 28.
