Pat Riley Reacts to Bam Adebayo-Tyler Herro Altercation After NBA's Decision in New Video

Miami Heat president Pat Riley said he wasn't pleased to hear about the physical altercation between Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro this offseason.

"I don't like it. I didn't like it for Bam," he said during an appearance on The Dan LeBatard Show. "I didn't even know he was upset because I read it, and I didn't like what I read. Those kinds of comments... that's why I say social media has consequences. He got offended by it. I don't think they had time to talk about it, but it happened."

The NBA announced last week it would not be punishing either player.

"After discussing with the players involved and the NBPA, everyone would prefer to move on from this unfortunate circumstance, and no further action will be taken by the league," an NBA spokesperson said.

Herro also told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne that he wanted to leave the situation behind him.

"Honestly, I'm just trying to move past all of it," he said. "I'm focused on Milwaukee and building something special. They obviously just traded the greatest player in their history, so we want to come in and help continue what they've been doing."

Herro, 26, was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the deal that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Heat. After the trade, Herro reportedly questioned whether Adebayo was worth his $60 million salary on social media, per Shelburne, and pushed back against previous comments the star center made about needing more help from the supporting cast if the Heat were going to become contenders again.

Shelburne reported that Adebayo confronted Herro over those posts at the Resorts World Hotel in Las Vegas.

If nothing else, the first meeting between the Heat and Bucks this season has the potential to be very spicy.
