The Golden State Warriors are in good hands with first-round draft pick Yaxel Lendeborg.

The No. 11 overall pick was named NBA Summer League Championship Game MVP after leading Golden State to a win over Cam Boozer and the Memphis Grizzlies' Summer League squad.

Lendeborg put up 21 points and 10 boards in the 94-90 win, adding a pair of steals while shooting 9-of-18 from the field. He helped the Dubs mount a 12-point fourth-quarter comeback to win the title game.

Lendeborg was a bit up and down in Summer League, but it was mostly positive throughout. He'll join a Warriors squad full of veterans and a legendary head coach in Steve Kerr, which should help his development.

Lendeborg is getting used to winning at this point. He led Michigan to a national title last season while putting up 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game.

Golden State is looking to capitalize on the final years of Stephen Curry, and getting ready-to-play rookies like Lendeborg should help with that goal.

Now having won a Summer League title, Lendeborg and the Warriors will look to finish the offseason strong before the start of the regular season in the fall.
