Josh Hart Reflects on His Post Comparing Knicks, Argentina After Spain Wins 2026 World Cup

Josh Hart's bold World Cup claim fell flat on Sunday.

The New York Knicks star compared Argentina to his championship-winning squad, and Argentina came up short against Spain in the World Cup Final. Hart admitted he was wrong on social media afterwards.

There were perhaps some comparisons between the Knicks in Argentina. Neither was a heavy favorite to win it all, and both were capable of making some crazy comebacks. It's easy to see how Hart came to that conclusion, but Argentina ultimately didn't fare as well as the Knicks.

Argentina fell to Spain 1-0 in extra time, unable to get past La Roja's stout defense, which prevented any shots on goal throughout the match.

The loss meant Argentina was unable to repeat as champions, something the Knicks will look to do next summer.
