Hawks, Mavs, Thunder's Rosters, Salary Caps, Draft Picks After 3-Team Trade Starring Dort, Risacher

The Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder will all be adjusting their lineups after a blockbuster three-team trade.

The weekend deal sent Lu Dort and Ryan Nembard Jr. to the Hawks and Zaccharie Risacher to the Mavericks, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Sunday.

The Thunder were $11.8 million above the second apron prior to the trade, per Spotrac.

The Hawks are hard-capped at the first apron, beneath which they had $18.6 million in room prior to the trade, per Spotrac. The similarly hard-capped Dallas Mavericks had $23.6 million in room prior to the deal.

Both Dort and Nembhard are joining their new teams on expiring contracts.

Dort is earning $17.7 million with an additional $1 million in possible incentives after the Thunder picked up his team option for next season, per Spotrac.

Nembhard is set to make $2.2 million after the Mavericks picked up his own club option.

Risacher is signed at a $13.8 million cap hit for next season with a $17.4 million club option for 2027-28.

The Mavericks will need to decide on Risacher's team option by October. 31, per Spotrac.

Parting ways with Dort is part of the Thunder's ongoing bid to shed salary this season.

Oklahoma City has now gotten below the second apron by getting rid of a total of $224 million in payroll and tax this offseason, per Charania.

The Thunder are expected to save around $84 million in luxury tax bills just from the Dort trade, according to Marks.

The Dort trade also created a $17.7 million trade exception for the Thunder, Charania noted.

The three second-round picks the Thunder are receiving in the trade for Dort include selections in 2027 from Chicago via Dallas as well as picks in 2031 and 2032 from Atlanta, per NBA insider Jake Fischer.

The Thunder have now gained seven second-round picks this offseason, according to Charania.

The Hawks will have about $4 million in room under the luxury tax after swapping out Risacher for Dort, per Spotrac's Keith Smith.

The Mavericks will use some of their trade exception from sending Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards in order to acquire Risacher, per Smith.

The Mavs will be left with just about $2 million in estimated room under the hard cap after adding Risacher and matching the New York Knicks' offer sheet for Moussa Cisse, per Smith and Charania.
