Doc Rivers Picks Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett as Hall of Fame Presenters for 2026 Ceremony

Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will help enshrine their former Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

The two former Celtics stars were announced Wednesday as enshrinement presenters for Rivers.

Enshrinement presenters were also announced for referee Joey Crawford, coaches Mark Few and Mike D'Antoni, and the 1996 women's Olympic team alongside players Amar'e Stoudemire, Elena Delle Donne, Chamique Holdsclaw and Candace Parker.

The Class of 2026 ceremony is set to take place Saturday, Aug. 15 in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Rivers spent nine seasons as head coach of the Celtics, including when the franchise acquired Garnett from the Minnesota Timberwolves ahead of the 2007-08 season.

That allowed the Celtics to create a Big Three of Garnett, Pierce, and Ray Allen that Rivers went on to coach to an NBA title.

Presenters for the 1996 U.S. women's Olympic team include team members Teresa Edwards, Lisa Leslie, Rebecca Lobo, Katrina McClain, Dawn Staley, Sheryl Swoopes along with head coach Tara VanDerveer.

Parker's enshrinement presenters includes her former Tennessee teammate Tamika Catchings and women's basketball legend Cheryl Miller alongside NCA icons Allen Iverson and Dwyane Wade.

Catchings also joins WNBA legends Tina Thompson and Teresa Weatherspoon in presenting for Holdsclaw's enshrinement.

WNBA icons Sylvia Fowles and Marianne Stanley will present for Delle Donne, while Crawford's enshrinement will be presented by former referee Danny Crawford and longtime NBA executive Rod Thorn.

Thorn will also participate in D'Antoni's presentation alongside former NBA executive Jerry Colangelo, his former Olimpia Milano teammate Bob McAdoo and his former players Steve Nash and Amar'e Stoudemire.

Stoudemire's enshrinement presenters feature Nash, Colangelo and D'Antoni alongside his former teammate Grant Hill, former rival Tracy McGrady and former Phoenix Suns CEO Rick Welts.

Enshrinement weekend starts Friday, Aug. 14 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, followed by the Class of 2026 enshrinement ceremony the following Saturday in Springfield.
