Bryce Harper Recruit LeBron James to 76ers After Jaylen Brown Trade, Predicts Landing Spot on Video

Bryce Harper, like all Philadelphians, wants to see LeBron James join Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and V.J. Edgecombe with the 76ers.

"Brown, their whole team," he told reporters when asked what his pitch would be to James to get him to sign with the Sixers. "They've got an opportunity, they've got four guys that are really good. Got a great fan base. I think he's going to go back to the [Cleveland Cavaliers], but not really sure what that would be like for him."

Most people seem to agree that a return to Cleveland will be James' likely choice, though from a basketball perspective, the Sixers would make a lot of sense. While it would be a lot of cooks in the proverbial kitchen, James could play the role of point guard, allowing Maxey to play off the ball more.

That has worked in the past—Maxey thrived with James Harden when the two were paired in Philly's backcourt several years ago. It would require the entire starting lineup being willing to sacrifice some of their offense, and James really embracing more of a pure playmaking role, but it would potentially be unstoppable if everyone bought in.

While the entire NBA world awaits LeBron's decision, all eyes in the baseball world will be on Harper, Kyle Schwarber and the rest of the Home Run Derby field on Monday night. Harper will then join a number of his teammates at Tuesday's All-Star Game.
