Two-time All-Star Ja Morant hasn't fully wrapped his mind around being on a new NBA team.
ESPN's Ben Golliver showed a Portland Trail Blazers No. 1 jersey that had been signed by Morant. The only problem is that the dynamic guard included his old number with the Memphis Grizzlies alongside his autograph:

Morant wore No. 12 for his entire seven-season run in Memphis, and it was his jersey of choice in college at Murray State.
That number hasn't been in circulation for the Blazers since LaMarcus Aldridge left as a free agent in 2015. That might be the case in perpetuity based on remarks Morant gave to reporters Saturday:
For Morant, the jersey change is appropriate. He badly needs a career reset given how much his reputation took a hit over the last few years.
Donning something other than No. 12 is still a bit of an adjustment, though.
