Heat Resurface Giannis' IG Photo from 2015 After Trade, 'Sometimes Dreams Come With a New Skyline'

The Miami Heat altered a 2015 Instagram post by Giannis Antetokounmpo on Saturday to hype his arrival following a recent trade from the Milwaukee Bucks.

In the midst of his second NBA season, Giannis posted a photo of himself overlooking a skyline and included the caption, "Follow your dreams and believe in yourself."

The Heat re-posted it Saturday on Instagram, but replaced the skyline with that of the city of Miami, while changing the caption to, "Sometimes dreams come with a new skyline."

Giannis spent his first 13 NBA seasons in Milwaukee and established himself as one of the best players in the league and a future Hall of Famer during that time.

The 31-year-old veteran was a 10-time All-Star, two-time NBA MVP, one-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, one-time NBA champion and one-time NBA Finals MVP during his time with the Bucks.

However, coming off a trying 2025-26 season that saw the Bucks finish 32-50 and miss the playoffs, the writing was on the wall regarding a trade.

On June 22, the Heat agreed to send Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, three first-round picks, one pick swap and one second-round pick to Milwaukee in exchange for Giannis and Bobby Portis.

Now, Antetokounmpo will join forces with three-time All-Star center Bam Adebayo in Miami, as the Heat look to return to championship contention in the Eastern Conference.
